Jacqueline was a news and features writer with the Daily Nation in Nairobi
from 2013 to 2018.

Her special interest was in long analytical pieces focusing on sustainable development, conflict, politics and social justice issues. 

For her 2015 David Astor Award programme, she worked at The Guardian and The Observer in London, and City Press in South Africa.

Before joining the Daily Nation as a general news reporter, she trained for nine months at the Nation Media Group's 'Media Lab'.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communication from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. 

As a Chevening Scholar, she earned an MSc in Practising Sustainable Development from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2017.

In November 2018, she joined the African Wildlife Foundation in Nairobi as a communications and advocacy specialist, but she intends to keep writing when she can.
