Kenfrey is News Editor of Nairobi News, an online-only publication of the Nation Media Group.

He also writes news
features and special reports for the Sunday Nation, particularly on human rights issues.  Ordinary people-centred stories are his main focus.  He also contributes to British newspapers.

Winner of the David Astor Journalism Award in 2012, he was attached for three months to The Independent and The Observer in London, and The Scotsman in Edinburgh.

He started his career at The People Daily in 2005 as a news reporter.  From 2007 to 2009 he worked at the Daily Metro, and when it closed down, The Standard recruited him as a weekend features writer.  He moved to the Sunday Nation in 2012.   

A graduate of the University of Nairobi in 2011 with a Bachelorís degree in Communication and Political Science, he also holds a diploma in Journalism and Media Studies from the Kenya College of Commerce and Hospitality.

He is an avid football enthusiast who loves Twitter, dislikes Facebook, and hasnít figured out Instagram yet.
